The prevention of disease and the attainment of optimal health in patients are primary objectives at Alt Med Services. Our professional staff uses advanced technology, lymphatic therapy, herbs, nutrition, enzymes, gentle detoxifying, and homeopathy to safely bring the body back into balance. We use Electral Dermal Screening (EDS), a computer-based system, to examine the body's energy levels as they relate to organs, organ systems, and glands. The precise, reproducible results can finally help end the endless guesswork needed to get results in other modalities. To prevent illness we assess risk factors, heredity and susceptibility to disease, and make appropriate recommendations. Risk factors include your acitivity level, good and bad stress factors, eating patterns, environmental exposures, work conditions, past health issues, drug therapies and immunizations, and your unique way of "dealing" with life challenges. When dis-ease has already occured in your life we strive to provide answers to "why" the body is behaving like it is, why your dis-ease has developed in the first place. After determining the underlying causes for your symptoms we will recommend a program to provide your body with the factors it needs to heal itself. Alt Med Services has trained several natural health practitioners in the use and application of Electral Dermal Screening and in the Carter Technique of Lymphatic Drainage using the Lymphstar Pro® - we are dedicated to the art of natural healing!

Electral Dermal Screening

Alt Med Services uses the Orion® Electral Dermal Screening (EDS) unit, a computer-based system to examine the body. Energy levels are measured and recorded as they relate to various organs and organ systems. These readings will relay the information from the body of either balance, inflammation, or deficiency. Depending on the needs of the individual we will recommend the appropriate herbs, nutrition, enzymes, detoxifying methods, or homeopathy to bring balance back to the body. Lymphatic Therapy and Drainage

A congested lymphatic system causes numerous symptoms to be expressed by the body. Congestion, when severe, results in visible edema and large areas of cellulite. With electral dermal screening and/or hand manipulation we can determine if your lymphatic system is showing signs of congestion before they become severe. We have chosen the Lymhstar Pro® for use in lymphatic therapy sessions. It is highly effective on all areas of the body, including congested breast tissue and breast cysts. More Information



Detoxify the Body

The Cygnus Aqua-Cleanse® is a therapeutic instrument used for detoxifying the body and inducing energetic balance through an ionized water bath for the feet or hands. As toxins are released internally (through the liver, colon, and lymphatic system) and externally (through the skin), we create a 'siphon effect? that can be exploited in detoxification. We often recommend herbal or homeopathic remedies in addition to the Cygnus treatments to provide the necessary substances your body may need to heal itself during and after detoxifying. Randy McCormick provides this service as an effective method to reduce acute and chronic pain and to target specific organs and organ systems that need balance. Join us on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Alt Med Services in Black Hawk, SD for health information that will change your life! We have Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions with each session lasting 10 weeks. Instructors include Cory Carter, Randy McCormick, Sharlene Peterson, and Linda Kushman. More Information



Therapeutic Massage

Massage therapy holds an important role in health care by acting directly on the muscular, nervous, circulatory and lymphatic (immune) systems. It is effective in the control of pain chronic or acute, in stress reduction, and in creating a sense of relaxation and well-being. Rochelle Jones, our massage and lymphatic therapist, provides massages based on the individual needs of the client.
