When Mattia Flabiano (Mike) started installing terrazzo in 1931, he was establishing more than a business. It was the beginning of a tradition of service and craftsmanship that has earned American Terrazzo Company the respect of a long, loyal roster of clients.Mattia Flabiano was a stickler for detail who liked to follow every job from the first stroke to the finishing touch. So it's only natural that his company should expand its capabilities over the years, becoming one of the foremost terrazzo companies in the United States.Mattia Flabiano's sons, Luighi (Tony) and Mattia Jr., learned the pride and commitment of installing terrazzo flooring from their father and passed this tradition on to their sons. Today, Tony and the third generation of Flabianos continue the family tradition. Tony's son, Wilton, and Mattia Jr.'s sons, Brent, Darin and Brandon, have embraced the almost 80-year-old craftsmanship, commitment to excellence and professionalism that was started by their grandfather.American Terrazzo Company prides itself on the ability to perform on any terrazzo installation - from the simplest to the most complex, whether it's a small patch to an old floor or completing the award-winning and largest job in the United States at DFW Airport, Terminal D - 600, 000 square feet. Their workmanship and commitment to clients is as reliable today as when the company was founded and has allowed the company to continue as a dominant force in this construction art form. Our Installation Department consists of a cadre of highly skilled and experienced artisans, some of who have been with the company for decades.
