Approve-It! Inc. was founded by John Grinager in 1996. John started the company by researching telecommunication type approval regulations in Latin America for a guidebook. This knowledge was useful as John began to complete type approvals in Latin America for several manufacturers.

By 2005, John was doing type approvals in all of Latin America and the Caribbean. By developing relationships with local agencies and partners in these countries, John created a vital network essential for an efficient certification process.

Since 2005, Approve-IT has expanded significantly and can now perform type approvals in over 175 countries for all types of wireless (WiFi, BT, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, RFID, SRD, etc) and telecommunications (E1/T1, ISDN, ADSL, Analogue, etc) equipment.

Approve-IT's strengths continue to be in Latin America, but it has also placed an emphasis in developing relationships with the regulatory agencies in Africa. Approve-IT is now one of the leading companies doing approvals on the African continent, completing several hundred approvals there each year (more than 600 in 2011). It also has agents situated throughout the Middle East, CIS States, and Asia.
