AVAcore Technologies, Inc was incorporated in the spring of 2000 by co-founders Dr. Dennis Grahn and Dr. Craig Heller of the Department of Biological Sciences at Stanford University. Both are world leaders in the field of thermoregulation. Their novel, non-invasive technologies to cool or heat the body core are patented. Stanford University has exclusively licensed this technology to AVAcore, who introduced RTX to the sports market at the 2002 annual meeting of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). After a year of additional research, market development and product reengineering, the Company made a more significant impact at this year's conferences, which included: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in May 2003, NATA in June 2003, and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in July 2003.
