Caston Architectural Millworks, founded in 1934 as "Caston Lumber Co.", began as a small lumber yard providing wood windows, doors and moldings for residential and commercial clients in the Oklahoma City area. Early on, the housing boom fueled by the return of thousands of World War II Veterans helped Caston's business to quickly thrive during the 1940s. Caston founder, R.E. Caston, further capitalized on this demand by scouring the Country for the necessary equipment and materials needed to fill orders.
Through the 50s and 60s, Caston shifted its focus towards primarily commercial and high-end residential clients, which sustained their precedent for fast growth. By 1985, R.E. Caston retired, while Dan Foltz and Dale Keester were appointed as President and Director of Operations, respectively. Foltz and Keester had both worked in the mill from a young age and quickly began the process of modernizing the now historical company.
Through the 90s and into the present day, Caston has broadened its client base to include companies across the entire United States, using its central location to great advantage. Moreover, Caston's millwork is on display in several businesses considered household brand names by most Americans. Finally, Caston is viewed as a staple within the Oklahoma City community and employs over 50 individuals in production and as many as 30 in the field for installation.
Thank you for your interest in Caston Architectural Millworks. In spite of becoming a company with national reach, Caston still prides itself in the values set forth by founder R.E. Caston: Deliver quality work every time, on time and create lasting customer relationships.
