Cloverleaf Cold Storage announced today that it has concluded the asset acquisition of Imperial Freezer Services in Sanford, North Carolina. With this purchase, Cloverleaf now operates over 63 million cubic feet of refrigerated warehouse space in facilities spanning the nation’s prime protein producing area of the Midwest and South Atlantic states.

This acquisition is part of Cloverleaf’s strategy of geographic saturation and it follows last year’s purchase of three other warehouses located in the region. By pursuing this strategy, Cloverleaf continues to commit to providing best in class customer service with mutually supporting facilities that allow customers multiple options within a region to best take advantage of logistic opportunities.

Operations at the Sanford warehouse will continue to be overseen by the incumbent plant management to ensure a seamless transition for customers. The management team has been in place since the facility opened in 1996. The warehouse, which presently provides 13,800 pallet positions, is located on a buildable 33 acre site, allowing for future expansion of the facility.
