David C. McGregor Nursery was established in 1982 when David McGregor began supplying the Arbor Day Foundation with trees for its members. The Arbor Day Foundation is the leading tree planting and tree care organization in the United States, and McGregor Nursery has grown exponentially alongside the foundation during the last 28 years. McGregor Nursery is proud to have maintained a healthy relationship with this nonprofit conservation and education organization.

McGregor Nursery has 3 spacious warehouses, and each facility has large walk-in cold storage areas with timed irrigation systems. Each of our facilities has convenient access and equipment for loading and unloading large trucks. Our headquarters is also adjacent to the United States Postal Service's Smartt, Tennessee location. Although the USPS is our primary shipping agent, we also ship via UPS and Federal Express.

During the peak shipping seasons (February-May and October-December) the nursery employs between 55-60 people, and over the years McGregor Nursery has become a family business. Mr. McGregor has one son, Brad, who joined the family business in 1995. Mr. McGregor also has a daughter, Cori, who joined the company in 1997. Cori has three children, Kaden, Wyatt, and Cason who will hopefully make the company a multi-generational business. Patricia Panter has been the General Manager of the company for over 20 years.
