In 1985, a group of Memphis investors acquired and recapitalized a small bank in East Tennessee and renamed it Financial Federal Savings Bank.

Shortly thereafter, the bank opened a residential loan production office in Memphis. A multifamily and commercial real estate division was established and a bank branch opened to provide additional banking services.

In 1987, Financial Federal headquarters moved to Memphis. Growth was experienced in all areas as the investors realized that exceptional service with quick, local decision-making was widely appreciated in Memphis. In the following years, a multifamily loan production office was opened in Nashville, Atlanta and Dallas.

Today, Financial Federal is still locally owned and operated and remains a community bank that specializes in high quality customer service and customized banking solutions. Our board and senior management continue to focus on creating an atmosphere that is appreciated by those who value the confidence that comes from experience.
