Company Summary

Gold Coast originally started doing business as Western Way Distributing and was launched in 1975 to serve the agricultural industry in Orange County, California. Orders for packing products and field supplies were generated in the morning hours, delivered in the afternoon, and invoiced out of the founders bedroom in the evening. It was a one man, 16 hour a day operation with no warehouse and one truck. As the company grew and was able to expand beyond the walls of the house it was operated from into a small warehouse in Anaheim, the name was changed to Agri Western Container Inc. The name was later shortened to AWC Packaging and the company shifted it's emphasis from agricultural to industrial custom packaging and design. Over the last 34 years, the company has adapted to industry changes but still remains a family owned and operated business with the second generation in management positions.
