HISTORY

In 2011, TowerJazz acquired Micron's manufacturing facility in Japan to expand its production capacity. Tower and Jazz merged in September 2008 in a stock-for-stock transaction. Jazz Semiconductor was formed in 2002 as a spin-off of Conexant Systems. Tower Semiconductor was founded as a National Semiconductor spin-off and it became a public company in 1994.

FACILITITES

TowerJazz offers fab capacity on three continents. Along with its two manufacturing facilities (6? and 8?) in Israel and its 8? fab in the U.S., TowerJazz acquired Micron?s 8? Fab in Nishiwaki, Japan in June 2011, nearly doubling its internal capacity. In addition, TowerJazz has access to capacity in China through manufacturing partnerships.
