McCaleb Dance is a 501 (c) 3 performing arts organization. Its mission is to
foster the arts. Artistic Director, Nancy McCaleb’s dances have been performed in over 70 theaters on the West Coast, in New York City, Mexico, and Europe. In venues ranging from an opera house in Poland to a bread factory in Germany, her provocative, powerfully athletic, and deeply moving dances bring audiences to their feet.

McCaleb has received the National Endowment for the Arts Creativity Grant, the California Arts Council Artist Fellowship in the Performing Arts, the James Irvine Foundation DanceMaker Grant, and the USA-Mexico Fund for Culture Grant. In collaboration with KPBS-TV, San Diego, videos of her dances received five national broadcasting awards, including the CINE Golden Eagle and an EMMY. She was honored by the GLADD Award for Excellence in Theater, and by the San Diego Press Club as Headliner of the Year in the Performing Arts. Recent commissions for choreography include the San Diego Museum of Art; Cultural Events UC Riverside; and the Contemporary Museum of Art, San Diego.
