Meta Engineers, P.C. Was founded in 1979 by Mr. Julius L. Szalay, P.E. with a team of five people. We quickly grew to a ten person firm. In 1980, Paul MacDonald, P.E. (PSU AE 77) and Donald Hennings, P.E. (CalPoly ME 75) were brought on board from Syska and Hennessy. In 1983, Kerry Frantz, P.E. (PSU AE 81) joined the team. Kerry also worked for Syska and Hennessy prior to Meta Engineers, P.C. In 1985, Donna Castelli, P.E. (PSU AE 85) was hired as a graduate directly from Penn State.

In 1999, Mr. Julius L. Szalay P.E. Retired. The company was run by Paul, Don, Kerry and Donna from 1999 until April 2005 when Mr. Don Hennings, P.E. retired from the firm. In July of 2005, Mr. Michael Starego, P.E. joined in the ownership of the company and now these four people represent the present ownership and senior Management team of the firm. Today, Meta Engineers, P.C. is a 25 person firm with a young talented management team and a loyal dedicated team of engineers, designers, CADD operators and Administrative personnel, all poised for growth and success.
