Orion Test Systems and Automation is a global supplier of testing solutions for Product Validation/Design Validation (PV/DV), End-of-Line (EOL), laboratory and production test machinery. We specialize in electronic, mechanical, mechatronic, and hydraulic testing for automotive, aerospace, medical, military components. Orion Test Systems and Automation is skilled at hot and cold temperature test stands for mechanical actuation and oil flow. For multi-headed electronic testers, our superior design provides high channel counts at minimal floor space. What is a Product Validation (PV) Tester?

Tests the reliability of product performance and the production process by taking samples of real production parts.


Product dependability is tested through repeated application of a wide variety of stimuli over extreme temperatures and vibration conditions with high-precision measurement.

2 and 3 axis Key Extraction
The tester consists of a Desktop 19" rack mount system and a fixture. Using two or three servo motors, press to an exact force, and measure the extraction force on the valet key.

CAM Cover development tester
The tester cycles engine oil of various temperatures through the cam covers to determine the breath-ability of the engine. The goal is to reduce emissions while minimizing the sludge generated.

144 Station Durability and Burn-In
19" rack mount system that cycled an adjustable pedal module. The system used custom circuitry to achieve high density and communicated via J1850 PWM.

Switch Cycler
12 Device Under tests are cycled in the X-Y position. Milli-volt and bounce detect data taken on all contacts at 10 KHz. The tester fixture performs in an environment of -40C to +85C.

What is an End-Of-Line Tester?
Used to test functionality of products at the end of the manufacturing process.
Ensures product accuracy by locating any defects that require repair prior to shipping to the end customer.
Built with the reliability of durable enclosures, hardware and connectors.
Employs the consistency of a simple test suite with little or no operator intervention.

Hydraulic

Production and laboratory cold / hot (-40? C to +85? C) temperature test stands for a variaty of electro-hydraulic components, including:
transmission pumps
water pumps
oil pumps
water meters (industrial and home)
variable solenoid valves
transmission valve bodies
power steering components.

Real-Time Distributed Control
Control motors and solenoids with a real-time PID loop running at 1 millisecond. We have proven applications for Throttle Body Control, High speed solenoid control, and various photographic applications. All provide minimal latency, robustness, excellent scalability, portability and cost savings.
