o After a distinguished teaching career at The University Of Pittsburgh, Dr. Frederick Blumenschein came to Uniontown in 1926 to set up his practice. In 1940 Harry Bonchosky began working for his father-in-law, Dr. Blumenschein, until World War II began. He joined the Army and served in the military until the end of the war. In 1956 he struck out on his own and purchased Hall's Drug Store in Hopwood, PA. He later moved the business to its present location on National Pike East (Route 40) in Hopwood and changed the name to Hopwood Pharmacy.

o In 1986, Harry's son, Fred Bonchosky came into the business and is the present day owner/pharmacist.

o Over the years there has been many changes in the pharmacy industry that has evolved into today's RX Plus Pharmacy. But one thing has remained consistent during the 3 generations of pharmacists-The family's firm commitment to serving the community with the finest quality care for over 85 years!
