All of our products are picked at the peak of freshness and selected with care to ensure the finest quality. The delicate brilliance of a unique blend of natural herbs and spices creates an experience that is indeed a masterpiece. Artfully packaged in traditional mason jars, our unique array of condiments are hand-packed and are pleasing to the eye as to the palate.

Safie?s has been manufacturing pickled condiments for over 75 years. It all began with the dawning of the great depression in 1929. My grandfather Dmitri Safie, with his entrepreneurial foresight, started preserving vegetables he grew on his farmland in Chesterfield Township, Michigan, as a means of providing for his family's livelihood. With the courage and determination for his family to survive and their love of food and passion for adventure, he created a unique blend of ingredients necessary for success. The family embarked on this new business venture which far outgrew my grandfather?s expectations. His children took the business out of the kitchen and into a large packing facility which extended over seven acres of their farmland. Safie?s became known as the largest pepper manufacturer in the country. In the laste 1980?s with retirement close at hand, and the grand children, still in school, the family business wa sold.

The classic tradition of canning was passed down from one generation to another. In 1994, I, Mary Safie, am the granddaughter who is carrying on the old-fashioned tradition of preserving into the 21st century. I began my business with the same love of canning, in the same kitchen where my grandfather and his children began theirs.

With continual support from our customers, today, our company has moved to a new 14,000 square foot, state-of-the-art packing facility. Our manufacturing plant is still located in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. Our products continue to be handpacked using only natural and whole spices and locally home-grown vegetables.
