Shadley Associates, P.C. is led by two principals, JP Shadley and Pamela Shadley. Throughout his career, Mr. Shadley has been a design leader on a wide variety of projects including complex urban design projects, major corporate and mixed-use developments, projects of historical significance and also for the cultural tourism industry, campus planning, public parks, and residential estate design. His work has garnered many design awards. Ms. Shadley specializes in leading complex teams to design and develop plazas, streetscapes, waterfronts, schools and university work, economic revitalization projects, and public parks. She has assisted municipalities and public agencies with achieving approvals at Town Meetings, with complex environmental permitting, and with compliance with ARRA and HUD funding requirements. Both principals have extensive expertise in green building and sustainability.

Shadley Associates has a strong foundation of many long-term, high-quality client relationships and is a stable and growing company, primarily through repeat work and client referrals. Our approach to client service is based on an absolute commitment to our projects and full collaboration with our clients. We practice active listening and maintain a high level of communication from initial planning to design, construction, use and maintenance. We use an iterative process to develop a comprehensive perspective, and believe successful projects come from an in-depth knowledge of each unique site, combined with a commitment to design excellence, project goals, schedule and budget. Shadley Associates is certified as a DBE in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island and a WBE in Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island.
