Since our formation in 1958 Sonatest Ltd has grown to become one of the most respected suppliers of ultrasonic NDT instruments in the world with many global blue chip clients. Sonatest is focused on achieving our goals of "Simplicity, Capability and Reliability", both within our product development programs and customer relationships. Sonatest has a long history of product innovation and market firsts that continues today in the latest advanced NDT testing equipment such as the VEO phased array flaw detector and Rapidscan real time 3D defect mapping.

Our products are designed to give the user a powerful tool that is easy to use and will withstand the harsh environments in which NDT is carried out. The Sitescan range of flaw detectors were the first IP67 rated ultrasonic flaw detectors in the world, and have an enviable reputation for reliability, whilst our user interface design has set the industry standard.

Sonatest has sold directly to 116 countries in the last 18 years with exports accounting for 85% of UK production. Sonatest currently has over 110 Distributors and Agents, operating in 77 countries, including 25 distributors in North America.

Our products are used by some of the world's leading companies such as Boeing, Airbus, Shell, Eon, Network Rail and many others. Within their manufacturing and safety processes these companies, along with many others, rely on Sonatest products to ensure reliable and safe products and services.

Sonatest operates from three company sites across the UK, USA and Canada. Our UK head office houses our global sales managment, manufacturing and flaw detector research and design. In Canada our research and product development team designs advanced instrumentation such as phased array ultrasonics, whilst our USA office provides sales and product service and support for the region.
