TESTEQ is focused on engineering test services, from consultants who can help evaluate testability of designs in the design stage, to test engineering contractors who can sit side by side with your engineers to help test and debug your designs in the lab, to test equipment procurement services.
We can help coordinate test engineering contractors who are familiar with a wide arrange of test equipment, including those from test equipment companies such as Agilent, Anritsu, Arium, Finisar, JDSU, Lauterbach, LeCroy, Nohau, Rohde & Schwatz, Tektronix, etc.
As each project is different, and will have greatly varying testing requirements, and accuracy needs, please inquire about specific design verification testing, validation testing, characterization testing, stress condition testing, and debug testing services which can be tailored for your companyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s specific needs.
Design Stage Support:
Design for test. Many times, due to cost considerations, companies have two different designs, one for testing, and the other for production. The production design can be as simple as depopulating some components, or be considerably different to reclaim costly board space, which results in different routing and fewer test points available on the final production assembly. Both of these can create unforeseen challenges for production testing, as results can be significantly different. What works in the prototype, may not for the production board. Additionally, the characteristics of the signals can unintentionally be impacted as well, especially as the speed of designs continues to increase and the timing and jitter tolerances becoming increasingly stringent. TESTEQÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s solution consultants can work with your design engineers to offer support in the following areas:
Testing Feasibility Analysis - Test points for key signals o Routing concerns o Crosstalk concerns o Accessibility of test points - Probing considerations o Probe types o Lead type trade off ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Noise injection ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Loading effects ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Connection robustness ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Replacement costs of tips - Prototype Testing vs Production o Depopulated components ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Termination effects ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Transmission line effects o Differing test points ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Accessibility of test points ÃÆïâââ¬Ã
¡Ãâç Test coverage sufficiency
